How to help
The situation on the ground in Afghanistan is changing very quickly, and we'll update these links and recommendations as the situation changes. Right now, unless you are connected with Afghans who are currently trying to leave the country, we recommend donating or volunteering to help organizations that support new immigrants in the country they're immigrating to.
- Volunteer for a local organization supporting Afghan refugee resettlement
- Contact your local politicians and demand support for Afghan refugees
- Donate to an organization involved in supporting refugees
- Stay informed, and follow Afghan journalists, activists, and thought leaders
Additionally, if you personally know any Afghans looking to leave the country and are in need of legal support or visas, check out our post on immigration resources.
